Matt is an associate in KMCL’s Birmingham office. He graduated from Furman University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Earth and Environmental Science. Prior to attending law school, he worked for two years as an environmental consultant. As a consultant, he performed field work on projects across the Southeast, focusing on site remediation and evaluation. He earned his Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law in 2020, graduating with honors.
During law school, Matt worked as a student attorney in Emory Law’s Turner Environmental Law Clinic, representing clients in energy litigation and policy matters. He garnered experience in complex regulatory, policy, and litigation matters as an intern at both the Environmental Protection Agency Headquarters and the Environmental Protection Agency Region 4.
