KMCL Welcomes Evan Ward
KMCL is pleased to announce the addition of more top talent to our ranks. Our newest member, Evan A. Ward, joined the firm as an associate in our Birmingham office today.Ā Evan previously clerked for the Hon. Andrew Brasher for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Before clerking, Evan practiced environmental law and general litigation as an associate at a large international law firm in Washington D.C. Since serving as a clerk for Judge Brasher, Evan worked as an associate in the general litigation, appellate, and environmental practice groups of a large firm in Birmingham. Evan has represented clients with environmental issues before both federal and state trial and appellate courts and federal and state agencies. He has advised clients on permit requirements under the Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act, represented clients challenging federal and state agency permits, and helped clients undertake environmental remediation projects. He has also represented clients in regulatory takings litigation. Evan received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was the executive editor of theĀ Virginia Environmental Law JournalĀ and a symposium editor of theĀ Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy. Evan received his M.A. in American history and B.A. (summa cum laude) in history from the University of Alabama.
