Andrew Haygood

Andrew Haygood works with clients on environmental law matters, drawing on his academic and professional background in environmental protection, land conservation, and litigation. He assists clients with regulatory compliance, enforcement defense, and environmental aspects of corporate transactions. Andrew drafts legal memoranda and briefs on complex environmental issues, conducts regulatory research, and supports senior attorneys in client representation before state and federal agencies.

Andrew brings experience from his work in the Land Conservation Clinic at the University of Georgia, where he addressed environmental protection and conservation issues. His appellate advocacy background includes arguing before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals as a student attorney in the University of Georgia's Appellate Litigation Clinic. Andrew combines analytical thinking with practical problem-solving to help clients navigate environmental challenges.

Before joining KMCL, Andrew gained experience in employment litigation at a national law firm's South Carolina and Georgia offices. He also previously worked at a labor and employment law firm, where he assisted attorneys with matters before the EEOC, state agencies, and federal courts. This experience provides him with valuable perspective on administrative proceedings and litigation strategy that he applies to environmental matters.
